the reactions in this thread are justified but also not taking into account how much society has changed in the 25+ years since this happened.
back then it was weird but not *that* weird.
every black person in Chicago knew about R Kelly
a grown man hanging around highschools was kind of a thing.
you can watch movies about the 70s/80s (or movies in the 70s/80s) and see similar scenarios play out
I went to a highschool where R Kelly was known to hang around across the street when school let out....
