Alright, I'm gonna tell y'all something I ain't never told anybody on this forum before about my family.

Alright, I got two sisters...my little sister actually underwent a "transformation" like this one and now wants to be seen as a man.

I remember when I got the e-mail. For as tolerant as I am towards GLBTs, when I got the news that my little sister who I've known as my little sister and best friend and "kiddo" would be coming out as transgender and trying to identifyto others as "male"...I was disappointed and saddened. And kind of angry at my family for being such a dysfunctional unit in my eyes. My older sister was given the world by my mom and dad, I was shunned as the middle child...and eventually she just became a recluse and a failure who decided on living at home until her 30s and eating all day.

To this day...as much as I respect her choice...I will never be able to see her as "my little brother" cause I never had any brothers and never will...and frankly...they're (my sisters) dead to me.

Yeah...you say that sounds cruel when I say "they're dead to me" but...shyt...you can say all of the stereotypical words of encouragement and signs of respect until it happens to you.

So, here I am...the straight black male sibling in my family of majority women...that never had any other male figure in my family other than my dad (who doesn't really accept it either) with this.

I still show love but it ain't the same with her and I'd rather not even deal with it.

To each their own...but I just can't grasp it. Even at my lowest, I've always been content with myself.
