Arguing about if this was a work or not. Good Lord man….

This is what happens when the WWE and IWC becomes a content pharm where kayfabe is dead and people got too much information that don't matter.

Laveck is a carny, but, it's would be cool (if I wasn't a grown ass man) to think Truth made a triumphant return, not, having to use his leverage against backstage politics.

WWE underestimated R-Truth's value with the fans and the locker room that they had no other choice to bring him back for a "proper" farewell tour. WWE is dealing with a lot of backlash from the talent releases, going back to Vegas for WM42, working with the Saudis, overpriced tickets, oversaturation of ads and lackluster booking that they need some good pub to make the fans happy. Truth probably got a lucrative deal to stay with the company for a extended time with the understanding that it will be his last. He going to be in John's farewell angle again in a more serious role and he can leave on a more positive note than what TKO had originally planned.

So you mean to tell me HHH the safest booker ever has this elaborate plan to work not only the fans but his entire locker room in order to finally push a black wrestler in 53 year old R Truth of all people. Fair play to HHH :lolbron:

Stooges still going with the "work" angle
:heh:

They literally had this man squashed by fukking Jeff Cobb right after the Cena match. They won't gonna do shyt with Truth and thought they were gonna drop him like he Virgil or Koko b ware status and keep it moving.

They didn't know Truth was beloved and respected like that so they had to bring him back.

That bad press was eating their ass up so they had to do something favorable for the people speaking out. People really believe a image savvy type company would sacrifice company credibility for a storyline?

it’s weird how people are obsessed with being right and the stupid behind the scenes politics of a TV show, that we shift from actually caring about the fact that the guy we like is seemingly re-signed, to bickering about how he got re-signed

MFs here and on Reddit insulting each other over a wrestler contract and when it was signed :dead:

Who cares how and when, and who cares if Triple H takes the credit or if it was fan backlash or fear or whatever. Let’s just be :blessed: that R Truth is back

If there was any doubt remaining, we have some more evidence of the R-Truth situation not being an elaborate, masterminded work. Fightful spoke with a higher up in WWE today, who confirmed our order of events as reported, including Nick Khan taking over negotiations. In fact we were told that when R-Truth had initially been approached for a return, that he didn't seem to entertain the calls. When Nick Khan took over, things opened up. It was also reiterated to Fightful that Truth's initial departure wasn't a work.

We were also told that it is rare that Nick Khan gets involved in negotiations, but this one was important to the company and locker room.

The higher up said that Truth being brought back was something that they viewed as a good sign that the roster and fan response being listened to overcame everything else. As one would expect, the roster is ecstatic about Truth being back with WWE.

When Ron Killings (Truth) and WWE brass have been asked directly by talent about the situation, they also stated it wasn't a work.

People close to R-Truth, even his own family members had spoke to numerous people indicating that the deal was put together very late in the week.

We spoke to another source in WWE management about the "Ron Killings" name being used. We weren't given any guarantees about booking, but it was stated to us that Killings had indicated in the past that he wanted to have at least more of a serious run in-ring before ending his career.

Regarding the shirt that WWE had ready to merchandise, they've had for months, and Killings wore it on TV in February.

There were immediately companies interested in booking Killings, including TNA and GCW. We've not been given an indication of how long the new deal is
