That's why I said we have to come together. Easier said than done, but we gotta create opportunities for ourselves and each other instead of waiting for white folks with power to magically change their minds. The "black community" will never be a utopia, nor should it be, but we can progress.

Steering clear of destruction individuals whether they're black or white should be a general rule to follow in life. I'm well aware that there are men who still live with their parents due to economic conditions beyond their control. But I'm talking more specifically in regards to lazy people who lack ambition. Anchors who will weigh you down and prevent you from accomplish great things: the drug addicts, your old high school friend who's constantly in trouble with the law, the irresponsible loser who gets 10+ women pregnant and owes money in child support, the drunken uncle who's always borrowing money from you, etc. Your quality of life will dramatically improve if you disassociate from these people.

You are the company you keep.
