There was another cartoon I remember with a bunch of talking mice; one of the mice had that same voice and seemed to be the 'black' one that was an employee/servant of another mouse, who sounded 'white'....I'll see if I can find that one

Although it's slightly more subtly, a good number of television shows and movies are racist. Notice how most of the time black women are shown to be sassy or loud in tv/movies, hell Honey Boo Boo is basically a little girl doing a minstrel show w/o black face. Outside of sports and a few shows, I don't even mess w/ tv because of that.

I used to love Bugs Bunny as a kid. Now I know how he really feels about me I did notice the "mammy" in Tom and Jerry (they hadn't edit her out yet). Obviously as a kid I didn't grasp that she was supposed to be a mammy/racist caricature . Seeing the blatant racism in these cartoons is a bit saddening to me I admit.
