And we are talking about men here who have been raised in incredibly violent environments since birth, and have had to grow up long before any child should have to. Where not being on guard can mean ya life. There have been studies done that have equated living in the hood or projects with encompassing violence, rotten food, dilapidated housing with lead paint, a society that looks down upon you, etc with mentally ill soldiers with PTSD...and you're asking why they react with "savage violence"? Dog you're fukkin wildin right now with your bullsht.

It may be a crime, but how you respond could even be worse. would you violently assault someone who snatched away your phone and stood there to check the time? and there's no excusing their violent impulses. you can attribute it to life in the ghetto. that should make them all the more determined not to immediately react with violence. what you describe may very well be one of the causes that black men in the ghetto seem almost predisposed to violence rather than reason.
