For business majors or anything related, this company is the definition of a company that failed to adapt and evolve as time went on and technological advances came forward. Once they decided to finally make some kind of change it was way too late. The last time they probably had legit market share was 20 years ago.

but real shyt, shouldn't radioschak just try and integrate with Home Depot? Seems like they would have the same target audience. Home Depots are so huge that you can fit a regular Radio Shack store anywhere in the building.

Radio Shack to this day still has a lot of hard to find accessories for audio and video IMHO. I would say a better fit would be with grocery stores like say Publix in Florida or Jewel Osco in Chicago, or HEB in Texas for example.

Give an example of a hard to find item that Radio Shack would have that I couldn't find on Amazon or any where else online. The only perk is being able to go to the store and pick it up immediately versus waiting a day or 2 to receive the item and receive it at sometimes 90% cheaper

honestly this just cements the idea that it is/was a proxy for the government

This is fukked up tho.. Ordering stuff online is great and all but I still like to go to the store and leave with my stuff immediately.. That shouldn't go away..

Radio Shack is good for shyt like that when you doin some TV/Audio stuff rearranging in your crib..

I dont want to have to wait 4-6 business days for every little thing I need :damn:

There are only going to be a few brick and mortar stores that survive into the future, Radio shack was done a long time ago. It's more a hobby store now than anything. It fits more in hobby lobby than it does in home depot. There's nothing I can't get from Fry's Electronics or Home Depot that I can only find at radio shack...transistors maybe? but guess what.... I don't use transistors at that level.

If I'm doing audio/video enhancement in my house, why would I go to Publix over Lowe's/Home Depot?
