well that's the thing..the production.
we know that plenty have enough in the tank to spit and recite..but the production from creativity and engineering are subpar or potentially good.

nah but Raekwon particularly more than others
his blade is still REAL sharp like Nas and Common and a few other MCs
contrarily you have some 90s rappers who have clearly fallen off lyrically....admittedly people like Cube
but his chilled out quiet spitting pisses me off!!!

He's made a conscious effort to put more energy in his bars recently. I think him and GZA know the fans weren't really feeling that low energy shyt.
Ghost was on FILA and that album still was ass. All the shyt my nikka talks about RZA but he still never put out a really, really dope album without RZA's involvement. Shaolin vs. Wu was good tho.
