i'm thinking more about the booking of these two for 20K... i mean i don't have it and i don't promote rap gigs but an enterprising promoter could seriously clean up :patrice: if anyone with more expertise wants to chime in, please do...
20 grand..that's pretty cheap considering how much you like them but depending where they perform?
i would say if you were booking them in a spot that was not on either of the coasts, so let's say not in NYC, LA, SF, DC, or MIA, the crowd you could draw could easily top out 1K+ if it were promoted well enough in advance then with the accompanying buzz from the documentary. so you'd need a large venue. you'd need a grip of security (probably 10+ dudes?) even though i think the crowd would be mostly nerdy white guys and their GFs in their 20's and 30's [like me] :ld: but after the venue cost, security, artist fees, their rider (which might run you a decent bit when coupled with hotels, etc.) i feel like you could still justify the 20K. raekwon on his own easily sells out the 650+ cap venue here in PGH (or at least did three years ago) am i crazy? :ld: i think the trick would be to book only two opening acts and one DJ to run through the evening and keep things moving to eliminate most of the logistical issues. :lupe:

If they do this documentary w/out RZA, it is revealing. I don't see how you could not do it w/out him. :jawalrus:

Funding RewardsBy Sean Fitz-GeraldShare

Raekwon and Ghostface Killah have unspooled an ambitious set of crowd-funding rewards for a documentary about the former's solo debut LP, Only Build 4 Cuban Linx, Rolling Stone reports. The film, titled The Purple Tape Files, was first announced earlier this year at Sundance and will feature interviews with artists, journalists, industry-ites, and music aficionados discussing the rapper's influential concept album, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. "Our vision for the film is for it to be as honest as possible, removing the filter from both ourselves and participants," Raekwon toldRolling Stone recently. "Beyond revealing untold information about the project and how it was created, the film will also bring to life the actual movie that happens within the album."
Since it's being crowd-funded (viaFanBacked), there are some sweet rewards:
$50: Signed DVD/BluRay combo pack (because watching it on one platform is not$50: Shirt with stuff on it.$135: Now we're talkin' — a swag pack that has a beanie, shirt, and sweatshirt, all with stuff on it.$200: Raekwon reviews your mixtape and potentially helps you fix your sound.$500: Name in the credits of the doc.$1,000: Personal-list access to Raekwon's shows for the next five years (you guys will probably be Facebook friends by then).$2,500: Studio time with the Chef, plus all of the swag.$4,000: A WHOLE DAY WITH RAE (#RAEDAEWITHBAE)!
There are other rewards listed, and more will probably be announced in the near future (more news expected at Coachella). The project is reportedly slated to be finished in August. If you love Raekwon, this is a good year for you — so start saving your money (or if you've had a money market account accumulating funds just in case there would ever be a moment when you could buy Raekwon's temporary friendship for a few thou, this is the best year for you). Rae doesn’t fukk with rza at all point blank period

RZA popped up on the Rae and Ghost Verzuz and for the 25th Anniversary thing they did on IG Live too though.:jbhmm:

If this was shot in 2015, I feel like a lot of water has flowed under that bridge because they've at least collaborated on the 'Mics & Men' doc and the Hulu show in the past two or three years.:patrice:
Y'know what? I'm not even gonna try and call it :hubie:
