STEVE
MIami Beach on the check-in.
i'm thinking more about the booking of these two for 20K... i mean i don't have it and i don't promote rap gigs but an enterprising promoter could seriously clean up
if anyone with more expertise wants to chime in, please do...
but after the venue cost, security, artist fees, their rider (which might run you a decent bit when coupled with hotels, etc.) i feel like you could still justify the 20K. raekwon on his own easily sells out the 650+ cap venue here in PGH (or at least did three years ago) am i crazy?
i think the trick would be to book only two opening acts and one DJ to run through the evening and keep things moving to eliminate most of the logistical issues.

i would say if you were booking them in a spot that was not on either of the coasts, so let's say not in NYC, LA, SF, DC, or MIA, the crowd you could draw could easily top out 1K+ if it were promoted well enough in advance then with the accompanying buzz from the documentary. so you'd need a large venue. you'd need a grip of security (probably 10+ dudes?) even though i think the crowd would be mostly nerdy white guys and their GFs in their 20's and 30's [like me]20 grand..that's pretty cheap considering how much you like them but depending where they perform?
