I don't even think I mentioned platinum nor gold when describing him as an elite artist, but besides those weak Immobilarity and Lex Diamond Theory albums, everything Raekwon had has pretty much been A1. OB4CL2 was a great sequel that comes as close to the original as any album could, and Shaolin vs Wu-Tang was dope itself. Add in dope guest spots on various people's stuff, I don't see what isn't special about him. Hell, I think he even had two pretty nice mixtapes between 2010-2011. If he is "nothing special", please list some artists you think are.

EDIT: Cocainism 2, Lost Jewlry, and Unexpected Victory were dope tapes, so 2010-2013

And as far as legends and their span of work...3K has 1 official solo album that isn't even rap....and he's a legend.

All i did was mention other veteran rappers who don't put out much solo work in 20 years. Not all legends strive to pump out loads of albums in a short time like E-40

Rae always been one of the most original and unimitable MCs in the game and when he's on his sh!t...very few are fvcking with him. He makes you pay attention when his voice comes on a track. That is when he's not half asleep. Seems like he was in a malaise on the mic for a while but now he sounds re-energized. His slang, his storytelling, his voice...

And yea...he's never really fallen off. He just doesn't always makes the right decisions on the direction of his projects, mostly regarding the beats. His FILA album is a dud but as @Inspect Her Deck pointed out, he KILLED 12 Reasons to Die 2 (check it out if ya'll haven't already...I like it better than the first) and he also killed his spots on A Better Tomorrow.

Yep did well on only built for cuban linx 2 also. The verse he spit on 10 brinks was unbelievable.

Yeah his selection of beats are wack. The crazy part he was damn near perfect on only built for cuban linx 2. Then he went back to picking subpart beats and producers.
