i hear people all the time say that ghostface outperformed raekwon on his own album but i didnt feel the same way. ghost had a lotta fire on that album, his criminology / glaciers of ice / verbal intercourse verses for example are classic but raekwon on incarcerated scarfaces / spot rusherz / north star were undeniable, man was too slick :wow:

i also thought that raekwon outperformed ghost on Ironman and i only started putting Ghost > Rae when Rae dropped the weedplate that is Immobilarity while Ghost dropped the masterpiece that is Supreme Clientele

but what do yall think :jbhmm:?

Rae. Knowledge God and Incarcerated Scarfaces are two of the greatest hiphop songs of all time and them joints ain't got Ghost on 'em.

Both of them shined, but I give a slight edge to Rae

[Verse 2: Raekwon]
Perhaps bullets bust nikkas discuss mad money
True lies and White guys, we can see it through the eyes
Catch the most on tape, kilos disintegrate
Pyrex pots, we break, fiends licking plates
In the building nikkas building like little children, staring
Them older nikkas ain't caring
Sirens circling fiends are lurking in your baggage
Oh one's gone now, what, smack him in his cabbage
In the woodwork, crack sales bubble like Woolworth's
In the projects, richest nikkas rocking all the real worth
Police questioning, rooftop cats invested in
Trading in they Lexuses, GS's, sending messages
Two and two makes four, Cristal's crazily pour
Gun wars my crew feel em like swords

That was the album that made me a Ghost fan.

Before the Purple Tape, I thought he was one of the weak links in the Clan.

Rae got busy no doubt, but IMO, Ghost and RZA's beats were the stars of that album.

Explain how he didn't

he just didn't no need to explain...to say that he "carried" would be to imply that he completely washed and outshined him which he didn't do by any objective measure..you have the right to think ghost had the upper hand without getting in hyperbole territory... As far as im concerned im undecided and i can't tell with any certainty who was better...this is one situation where they enhanced one another
