No doubt. Ghost still drops quality projects.

But when I listen to him and Rae’s modern music…Rae still sounds way more like the prime version of himself than Ghost in terms of freshness and his flow. He & Nas have that in common.

I’m trying to be nice about it but if I’m keeping honest I feel like Ghost has sounded a little for a while now.

I do agree with this, which is why I rank Rae so high. He's still incredibly sharp with the pen and his flow.

Ghost ain't sound the same since he been sick. His latest albums all seemed like throwaway compilations as well.

Realistically this Raekwon album is better than any GFK album since, lets say, Big Doe Rehab? Maybe even More Fish.

Overall GFK's catalog absolutely blows out Rae's, there's no competition

Releasing an album while on tour isn't ideal because you can't physically go to spots you normally would. But yeah as someone that fukked with the wild this is leagues above it.

Album is ok, solid. Rae's flow is still there and he has some dope bars but this doesn't really feel like an album. Even with the (ill advised) skits it never really feels like more than a collection of songs. Production wise there are some great beats here and some forgettable ones. Nothing is outright bad but it just sounds dated overall. Basically to me this sounds like a late aughts Def Jam or Interscope album from an aging rapper (production wise). Like Jada for instance. Loud, cinematic beats but only a couple are memorable (Bear Hill especially). Perhaps that's why the standout moment is Ghost on some soul shyt. Because that's what fits these guys best.

Dont love the production. Dont hate. Good album. Nothing out of the norm of what i expected. No all timers or anything but a good commercial rae release.

While the beats arent that crazy to me , rae wrote to them all you can tell. Each song has a unique flow. Rae can phone it in and sound phenomenal at same time, off flow alone but i liked how he rhymed on these beats.

What is going on with Ghost and Deck these days? They're both trapped in the same flows/rhyme styles which is a massive departure from their old work. The breath work sounds flabby as shyt. Ghost one of my all time favorites, but both of these cats are writing the same verses for damn near every song now.
