The WU had a cryptic style that wasnt radio friendly

85% of the black population are institutionalized by the church and corporate america

And are drawn to sensational shallow images and subjects

WU lyrics were not for the simple minded

Blacks might get the beat...but cant comprehend the m Message

"The dumb are mostly intrigued by the drums"
-Masta Killa

85% of our kind is def dumb and blind- elijah muhammad

The quality of your music ain't got shyt to do with how many puzzles & riddles you make people decipher in your lyrics. :comeon:

And shyt like that doesn't even automatically make you a good or great lyricist

And where are these "complex" lyrics from wu-tang you speak of? I've skimmed thru some of their shyt and never heard any. :jbhmm:

And are you implying whites have a better ear for black created music than black folk themselves? :jbhmm:

but somehow are unable to create any quality music on their own volition worth a damn...that ain't copied from nikkas...

very elitist cac-like argument you made there...your comment gave me a lil insight into why so many wu-tang fans on the board tend to be white supremacists...and they believe they have black music allll figured out much better than these dumb ol negros who's communities create the stuff

Public Enemy had a huge white fanbase as well...

Our people are just programmed to listen to simple commercial music

I remember going to college in savannah during the early 90s and RAKIM and UNCLE LUKE were both performing that same night in two different venues

And unfortunately most of the blacks chose UNCLE LUKE :manny:

Im gonna go out on a limb and say because maybe they wantes to party and watch women shake their asses, as oppose to standing next to a bunch of dudes reciting classic bars all night.

Theres a time and place for everything and if im young in college (just graduated) Theres gonna be a time where ima wanna go party with bytches rather than go hear some classic catalog shyt smh

So you gonna sit there and say WU didnt make good music? :mjpls:

Im saying whites see the VALUE in our art more than we do...

We dont support our own

We debase ourselves and wonder why guys like STEVE RIFKIND make money off the wu and why thier audience is mostly white

Cause like the god OC says

"Non conceptual non intellectual everything is crime related or sexual"

:manny: we our worst enemy breh

We live in a country where we are a numerical minority by far, and countries that are majority Black aren't developed enough for most our artist to actually tour in. So off course their audiences will be majority.

Stop projecting your feelings, and just deal with the simple facts.

Stop it, I know you promote, but let's deal with pure numbers here. Wu or any rap act performs in any majority or strong Black areas, their audiences will be mostly, I've been to enough shows in DC and Baltimore to see this.

Outside of certain areas in this country, our numbers ain't that strong. And when most of their shows overseas are in Europe, who do you expect most off their audiences to be, come on, now.

And as for 50, yeah he's done stuff in Nigeria, SA, and Angola to my knowledge. But if you think putting on a stage show throughout Africa with known international artist is easy you kidding yourself

It's not about money, lots of black people have disposable income. They just spend it on other things, be it shoes or clubs or whatever. I dunno why clubs are more likely to have black people in attendance for shows than a regular concert.

Lots of black people do see Future concerts tho but that will change as he gets bigger.

This is interesting. I see a lot of people on her downplay success because "it's only cacs supporting them, it's c@c Music" etc but Raekwon is one of th realest still relevant OGs saying this. Thoughts ?

Went to the Wu Tang Concert at the Meadowlands in NJ the day before ODB:rip:(who didn't show) passed.

A lot white fans but dope concert:ohlawd:

People passing blunts through the crowd:blessed:
