this gameplay looks sus and meh asf
It's pretty much just an open world Doom(2016) meets Mad Max(2015), it has cool gunplay, but moving from point to point may not be for everybody. As for your point about MP being a missed opportunity, Doom(2016) has better everything than this does and no one gave a fukk about the MP so I'm sure they saved a lot of resources just not even doing it.

basically just an tech simulator for their broken physics engine. Game was rushed and not optimized correctlyThe vehicle handling is the worst I've ever played in a game. The original Watch Dogs handles like a GOAT racer compared to this. I just got on my first motorcycle and there's basically no control. You can't do any subtle turning. It's like a 45 degree turn at minimum or nothing. I can't do anything on this.
Squeezed some good moments out of it, but overall the game just feels like it's lacking way too much. There's so much that could have been done with the story. There's literally like 5-6 missions between the 3 NPC you are supposed to recruit and they are supposed to be padded by you finding weapons and powers, but that's it. The bounty system really serves no purpose but to give you reasons to shoot things. I bit the bullet and bought it for $60 of out boredom, but it's definitely more of a $30-40 game.

I'm selling my copy and minimizing my losses. The gunplay is great but everything else is horrible. It's even difficult to pick up items in the world. Most things are in crates you have to break open. The problem is when you try to melee them, the hit detection doesn't work most of the time so you sit there at each crate trying to bash it with your gun over and over again. You have to be in JUST the right spot to break them open.
And there are a lot of crates.
If they would have just made this an arena shooter or completely linear, it coulda been great. As is, I wouldn't even recommend this at $20. Everything is a complete chore between shooting sessions. Somehow, it's a step back from the original. I'm highly disappointed.

Playing this joint on nightmare mode. Quite possibly the most exhilarating fps I played all year
