you dont have to be a raiders fan to see how he bet everything on palmer and lost badly.

people quick to big up hue but never talk how he did jason campbell :skip: directly resulting from the palmer trade.

hue was building a team slowly and there was some progress, but he decided to kill it all by trading the future away for a chance to make playoffs. and lost.

Exactly. And it wasn't necessarily any hate from any Raider fans, but it was elementary that he'd be fired not only cuz we had a new regime but for gambling a much needed 1st rounder for a chance at a wild card that didn't pull through. If Hue was smart he woulda let us tank with Kyle Boller and get higher value picks. Reggie might've kept him around since we lost Jason to injury. :yeshrug:

And what's even crazier is, they were excited to get Carson at first. Then when he busts, they got mad at Hue. Then Hue and Palmer leave, and they are doing well.
:usure:

Stop making shyt up. Palmer was lounging after a pretty damn good season but then came over out of shape and not giving a fukk.

Trading to get Carson wasn't a bad idea. We were excited to have a good QB it wasn't rocket science. No one blamed Hue, we went 8-8 with him as coach. Him and Carson had history it made sense. It's not Hue's fault Carson was at home eating doughnuts and playing Call of Duty. Stop making shyt up.

The real tragedy is that we had to suffer through some seasons of mediocrity to finally get a decent group of players. If Hue wasn't fired none of this would be happening. We'd just be a middling team with nothing to really look forward to. At least now we've hit rock bottom and we have some hope.

You prolly drunk and crying from the losing streak so I'll give you a pass for that fakkit comment. Anyway, I made plenty of posts regarding Hue and got shyt from Raiders fans everytime talm bout how he fukked the franchise by trading for Palmer. I mean every fukking time.

Need to up that thread. I told these fools that Hugh was the best thing to happen to them in years....but they were so stuck on him trading for Carson. :heh:

These nikkas acting like that shyt didn't exist. Maybe they weren't around during the time it went down but most raiders fans on here was on some fukk hue Jackson shyt.

And what's even crazier is, they were excited to get Carson at first. Then when he busts, they got mad at Hue. Then Hue and Palmer leave, and they are doing well.

The revisionist history in this thread is amazing.

You guys are taking unrelated opinions of the situation and trying to string them together.

Was the Carson Palmer trade bad? Yes.

Was Carson Palmer the best QB available and is he better than 1/2 the QBs in the league? Yes.

Was Hue Jackson a good head coach? Yes.

Did Hue Jackson deserve to get fired? Yes.

All those facts have little to do with one another. Situations like this arent so black and white.

Hue did a great job with the Raiders. He was a great head coach. Players loved playing for him, and showed it on the field. His offensive schemes were great. When Jason Campbell went down, Hue decided to trade our future away for Palmer. Raiders fans didnt like that decision because Palmer wasnt worth nearly as much as what we gave up for him. That doesnt mean we thought Palmer was a bad QB, or didnt want him, we just think we got screwed on the deal. After the trade went down, obviously we had no choice but to accept it and ride with Carson. He was still skilled, and we were still in the playoff hunt. Too bad he was absolutely not physically nor mentally prepared that season. But he still threw for over 4,000 yard the following season w/ the Raiders. Things obviously didnt pan out with him, and since Hue was the guy that leveraged our future on Carson, when we got a new GM unfortunately Hue had to go. We were in cap hell and our team was terrible, we had to clean house.
