Hard to complete passes when your receivers suck...ask Cam...I've seen Ginn and Laufell drop a ridiculous number of passes in just the 5 panther games I watched

Hard to complete passes with a bad oline...ask the likes of david carr , sam bradford, Vick and Foles last year

Hard to complete a pass when your supposed star RB is injured a ridiculous number of games and the defense can just pin their ears back and go after the QB cause you got some random 9th round rookie in mcfadden's place

Again, Pryor is nothing more than a project...but who was the last QB to be successful in Oakland? It's not like Oakland had a string of good QB play and Pryor came in and struggled...Oakland has had bad QB play going on a decade now...i don't think anyone could be so unlucky as to just end up with 5 bad qb's back to back...I don't see how you can say Pryor is bad when he is surrounded by guys who haven't accomplished much of anything in the league

All QBs deal with drops and injuries. I never thought Pryor was ever starting material even dating back to College.

He's bad because he's bad. Taking years to surround bad QBs with "weapons" is how GMs and coaches get fired.

Dude has got some serious happy feet in the pocket, he looks like he just wants to take off on every snap. I was a fan at OSU, but he is not a starting NFL QB.

I love that one of the "highlights" was him shaking hands with Manning with the blowout score at the bottom :dead:

He hasn't been given a fair shake in Oakland. If you're going to move forward with a young inexperienced qb the organization needs to have some things in place. A decent O-Line, strong running game, veteran sure handed wrs, decent oc, a stout defense and a head coach that will stand behind his player.

We have non of that which is why we haven't been decent since hugh left the team.

Norfeast groovin…
Don't think that would have worked.

Why? A-Rod switched up his delivery and sharpened his passing game greatly while sitting behind Favre. I believe Pryor is willing to do the work, so I think it's possible for him to make big strides towards being a great passer if he's given the resources.

Doesn't mean A-Rod didn't drop in the draft partly because of fears over those infamous "Tedford mechanics" and the failure of QBs coming out of his Cal program. Plus believe me I was skeptical like you when Pryor came out but even I was shocked at the progress he made. We'll disagree on it, but imo if Pryor had not been thrown in so soon as was spending time with some good coaching getting his mechanics right he could've developed into a more complete player. What I'm saying is, the Raiders should've invested in his development since he was a project player anyway and spend the time to actually fix the team around him. If Pryor ended up not being the one, then there would be an already built up team in place for a QB to come in and take over. :yeshrug:

I would say he needs to change positions, but transitioning from QB to TE or H-back isn't an trivial task. He'll probably be a journeyman for years to come.
