Whatever the hell it was that sparked all that couldn’t have been worth what ended up happening. Those two that ended up falling to the next floor lucky. R.I.P. to the deceased, hopefully they went quick.

How bad is the video? I’m to shook to press play:lupe:

It wasn't bloody but very triggering/shocking when the railing breaks, people scream and then the camera pans down as you see all of them literally go head over heels down a few floors. Camera moves up again to where they had been standing a few seconds before then pans all the way down to the ground where several students are lying motionless/dead. Shocking because at first you don't realize how very far up they are...until they all start falling.

:mjcry:

My condolences to the families.

A few thoughts:

1. Why are these dumbasses in a huge crowd during a pandemic

2. What are these dumbasses doing gathering like that on the edge of a 4 story drop

3. Why the fukk did those 2 people start fighting like they weren't on the edge of potential death

4. Humans are fukking stupid

The university council was having a board meeting to discuss raising the tuition in a room on the fourth floor. The students congregated there to protest. I assume Bolivia doesn't have a severe covid problem.

Gotta be more aware of your surroundings. Them railings ain’t made to withstand anywhere near that sort of pressure
Railings are designed to support 150 lbs per linear foot (that includes the factor of safety). There is no way those students put more lateral force than that. This is clearly a construction/lack of maintenance issue.

The point is, when you’re that high up you should be exerting zero lbs of pressure on a guardrail. Do you walk up to windows in high rises and lean in with force? Of course not, because you don’t want any risk that shyt breaks and that’s a wrap for you. Stupidity abound here, and it cost folks their lives. You have to move smarter
