That seems outrageous after a global pandemic. It also looks what they are asking for isn’t a game breaker. Unless there is something being left out (a lot of other times people leave out crucial information so we can argue back and forth like some dummies) I just don’t get it.My understanding I thy can't call out sick it has to be a scheduled day to take off.
So if you're legit sick you have to show up to work.
That is trash
We should hire more rail workers then..can't be too hard to find workers.
You know they won’t thoughMost these railworkers better be looking at who voted against this and re-evaluate their positions.![]()

After some reading it appears the unions are playing hard ball by forcing the federal government into this situation. On September 15, the rail companies and unions reached a tentative agreement. Shortly after the largest of the unions dropped out and other unions followed. The initial tentative deal did have paid time off. I don't see any good guys in here unless someone can correct me.![]()

You missed the point where they had a tentative agreement and then backed out forcing the federal government to step in. It was a grimmy but effective chess move by the unions.
PAID TIME OFF
AND PAID SICK LEAVE ARE
2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.
THE RAILROAD NEVER OFFERED
PAID SICK LEAVE.
how are people blaming this on the democrats when damn near every democrat voted for the sick leave and damn near every republican voted against it?

Where was that reported cause I saw the opposite. The union members voted on the TA, and 4 unions did not approve the TA....
