I seen him in 3 separate venues different years n he did the same bytch ass shyt.

refusing to perform. threatening to leave. one time I would understand but three times :what:

:camby:

tech N9ne has a famous story about Rakim refusing to perform before him at a festival while tech was the headliner and selling more records. Ra has an attitude. also the reason why him and Eric didn't tour for a long time together till the reunion years back. he is a bridge burner. he also burned the bridge with Dr. Dre.

on the album that has holy are you he has a beat that he jacked from a beat tape from somebody I know personally :hhh:

he's also on video both saying he loves and hates the autobiography of rakim by Nas. He praised it while he was next to Nas at Roc the bells on camera then a bout a year later said the song was insulting.

dude acts bipolar as fukk

Manifesto: The Main Event featuring Black Thought, Jay Electronica, Rich Kidd, Saukrates Dundas Square, Toronto ON September 26

But as the clock ticked down to the city's 11 p.m. curfew, the annual scramble to give the headliners their due again showed its face. New Orleans native Jay Electronica stepped to the stage cup in hand to deliver a stream of blistering lyrical head shots, cleverly dropping the beat out of each cut so that not a gasp was missed as his words were absorbed. Unfortunately, things began to unravel when Jay - already oblivious to the show's "no curse" rule - thought it necessary to ask female audience members about their tastes for violent sex, before climbing into the crowd and refusing to end his show.

Eventually, anxious organizers convinced the man he was cutting into supposed partner Black Thought's already comical set time
, and the beloved Roots frontman was allowed to deliver what amounted to a satisfying snippet of his live mixtape. All high points aside, it was a regrettable climax to a largely successful week-long hip-hop love fest, and something that should at least spark the consideration of allowing fewer artists more breathing room at next year's

:mindblown:

What???!!??
He embarrassed himself big time that night. Article damn near reads verbatim like my post... Black thought had to save the event.

Because of goofies like him they no longer have hip hop showcases on that stage. shyt was an all ages open festival all he had to do was not curse. Who would expect Jay Elect to be the most ignorant drunk buffon on a rap stage

:deadrose:

cutting off every beat to go accapella :camby:

Im sorry for your experience, but I've seen Ra 6 at least times as recently as this past December, all 5 star shows:manny:

And Ra has no business going on before Tech 9. I dont blame him.

:mjlol: at Ra burning the bridge with Dre. Dre had Ra in the lab with C+ producers straight disrespecting the god. There was no bridge to walk, Dre was just hoarding shyt on the shelf like he always does

yes he does... tech 9 has a huge following and the audience was there for him hence the headliner... that year he was to 50 on the tour list in the country. Ra wasn't even making #200

that's how shows work. the business doesn't care about your ego just your pull/draw

:heh:

C+ producers but some of the beats went to GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN and Ra's last major look was the song with Truth hurts on Aftermath

:duck:

I see you a stan. but I gave you a variety of examples. Don't take it personal.

Jay man. Love Ra, but this lane is easily Elecs specialty.

This here.

Ra is Top 5 forever. But a lot of the tracks he made after '99 just didn't speak to his greatness, at all. Dude is one of our GOAT's, but he had a hard time adjusting to new eras in Hip Hop. And he's also one of the those legends that's not taking advice from anyone. LOL!! So he's never going to change a thing.
