Empire strikes back
Fixed. There's really no conditional here. Draft picks are extremely valuable in cap era.Never trade the farm for a #1 overall pick.

We're just gonna have to agree to disagree right here, but it's all based on what a team want and needs. There's 1st round QB talent, but there's no QB you give this much up for. You would've done this last year with Mariota and Jameis. I don't trust Wentz based on his comp. Too high of a learning curve. They'd need to do him like they did Big Ben in the beginning and whatever team drafts him won't have the chance to be that patient. I watched Goff for 3 years at Cal.....he's alum so I won't go in too much, but nah not at this price.
Are you really that short sighted?
Cal's record didn't improve as he went along?

Goff is going #1 dudeAt least this time we'll pick a guy who's used to losing and playing on teams with no talent![]()
Has this ever worked out?
My problem with this line of thinking is that there is no "next sure thing" really. It's all subjective. I'd even say it's almost always worth it to trade down from #1 overall provided you get at least another future first rounder.Eh if you got the next sure thing then I'd do it depending on how my team is already built.
