When has a WR joined a team mid-season and produced at a high level ? Sanders averaged 44 YPG in his 13 with the 49ers in 2019, AB averaged 51 in his 11 with Tampa last season, and those are viewed as successful acquisitions. Even Amari only had three games above 100 yards out of 11 after Dallas traded for him in 2018.

Best case scenario is Odell has a monster game or two, but learning an offense and building chemistry with a QB on the fly in the middle of November just isn't ideal.
