Man back in the 90's they were some of the best all around players on the squad

Could run, catch and block

tough as nails too taking on linebackers and shyt on blitzes and lead blocking. lowkey the minimization of the fullback was one indicator of a "softer" league

Not really too wild, but Drew Brees and Alex Smith have pretty much identical winning % shows how stupid it is to attribute team stats like wins to QBs

Indeed although some of it was teams liking the versatility of runnin 2TE sets

Yeah, it was one indicator among others. Hopefully they will make a comeback in the near future

Perhaps if defenses continue to get lighter and faster in the front 7 offenses will adjust by employing some more power sets with fullbacks

I think you'll see the H-Back position utilized more ie a player that can line up in the backfield and the slot TE
