I totally agree and Emoni never was. It’s still something that coaches can and will try to use as leverage over other coaches in the future though when it comes to recruiting.

Most definitely. It's the knock that we were getting. You look at Caleb Love's first year and it was okay, but definitely a disappointment. People say 5 stars shouldn't go to UNC. But before that we had Coby White set the world on fire. He went from not on the draft board at all to a top 10 pick. Kentucky and Duke generally get the legit 5 star recruits/NBA talent. Everyone else is a project.

Even Kentucky has had a lot of misses, look at Khalil Whitney

reading the Izzo/not developing kids talk in the Bates thread
why does the coach get blame if a player doesnt develop into an nba star?

Exactly. The coaches see these players in practice every day. Izzo getting blamed for that is stupid as hell. Izzo doesn't even get the best recruits. Of course a lot of them aren't going to be NBA talents. Most kids aren't. shyt's annoying.

Kentuchy has had a lot of misses, but number and success of the hits outweigh that. Some coaches just don’t have that track record, which is why you always see Kentucky bringing the amount of money their former players have made as leverage in recruiting.
