And they are doing it without a super star. Plus they are about to get better next year since they have Brooklyn's draft pick. They can either trade for a star or draft one. Ainge is doing a good job rebuilding this team.

Payne did more in that 12 minutes than DJ has done in a month. Finally got some minutes & made his open shots & was setting people up to score

They'll also have the chance to be in the running for anybody in free agency as they can offer as much money as anybody, the chance to be that player that puts Boston as a title contender and the chance to play for Brad Stevens who is one of the three most liked coaches in the league right now
Plus they'll either have a top three pick or have added a major piece
But they could legit trade for a top tier player and keep that Brooklyn pick... They have a ton of other picks to dangle
