It speaks more about the Rockets not listening/trying under McHale in the 11 games this season. The Rockets were in the top half of the league in points post-timeouts last season and fluctuated between second and 10th the season before that (all under McHale) -And people in here still asking why he got the bushes

So Paul Pierce was on Chris Mannix's podcast and according to him, the Celtics were going to trade him in 05 to Portland for the 3rd pick, which they were going to use to draft Chris Paul, but Pierce didn't want to play for the Blazers.
Gotta say I'm pretty happy with how things eventually turned out, but it's always interesting to hear about these scenarios after the fact.
