Honestly, don't see why the Bulls would get rid of Butler for Demar though, especially since he'd be on a higher salary.
Gordon is off the books at the end of the season, they could just absorb Butler's contract for their pick.

What are the Bulls trying to do? Shed salary and start over?
I think they're going to rebuild, they probably lose Pau this offseason, it sounds like he wants to finish his career playing next to his brother.
They're not re-signing Noah, Rose only has 1 year left on his deal, and Butler while good isn't a franchise player. If you look at their roster and who they will probably lose, the only real course of action is to rebuild.
I'd also bet that they could get a nice package from the Kings for him, McLemore, WCS and their pick, since the Kings are moving into a new building and will be pressed to make the playoffs even more so.

They missed on LaVine too
They do well in the draft so going back there should help them, they banked on Rose and he just fell apart and when it was apparent that he wasn't going to be the same, they stuck with it anyway
