Word around the league was that the reason why teams didn't pick up Larry Sanders was because he was about 20 pounds underweight. The Celtics could have really used a guy with his skillset. And looking at him now seems like those reports were accurate.

Dude looks malnourished out there. He played one minute and in that single minute ended up getting bodied in the paint.

Don't really see how he helps Cleveland during this stretch run....they needed physicality and rebounding, someone who can spell TT for stretches. None of which Sanders seems to be capable of at this point... even his shotblocking would not be as effective judging by how physically underwhelming he is.

Hopefully he lives in the weight room these next couple months.
anyone who expected him to instantly make an impact has unrealistic expectations

Lebron, defensively?

Overall, but no not defensively.

Defensively they're not great, which is why their rating goes to trash without him out there whereas the Spurs have a good defensive gameplan as well as players committed to that. They're also pretty bad defensively even with Lebron so I don't really think that's saying much.

On and off stats also aren't the greatest indicators of anything. The Thunder's defense improves without Westbrook, but that just means the defenders on the court are worse than the ones he plays alongside(as in the starters, in as guys like Roberson/Adams/etc) and it also shows that his backup doesn't really make a positive impact defensively.

Which may explain why he's had such half-assed performances :picard:

Even so don't wish that on no one so even if he makes me mad I can't even say shyt anymore since we don't even know if it's a issue with his game at all now withholding info from us
Just hope his health stays good that is all

It's about more than on/off his points per possession allowed and defensive FG% is elite and he's in the 81st percentile of defenders despite being on a weak defensive team.

How the hell does the guy conclude that when the stats clearly show that LeBron is the worst out of the 4 in all the categories that have the least to do with team work/team decisions and that are the hardest to stat pad? LeBron forces the least turnovers and has the least combined steals/blocks per 100. If anything, those limited data points suggest that LeBron's individual defense isn't stellar but that he benefits from the defense of his teammates. Also, it suggests that the supposed lack of Harden's defense is severely overstated and based on previous seasons more than on this one.
Lastly, it shows that Kawhi individually and the Spurs collectively are defensive beasts.
