It was just a figure of speech more than anything else.
Their rim protection ain't that bad, and when the death lineup plays more minutes in the postseason Draymond and Durant in the frontcourt will be enough to close out games.

They wanted a player with a defined position. Dunn was off the board so Hield was the next best thing for them (and they figured Hield could contribute right away since everyone wants to get AD help so bad.)
