If this team does live up to expectations, we're going to see some historic shyt next season (even more so than last) where they just slaughter teams - the voters won't ignore that. Anything around 70 wins plus Durant averaging 27+ points on ultra high efficiency + All-Defensive honors is going to put him in prime position to take it out. That backlash will subside and be replaced with "is this the greatest team ever?" rhetoric as the season goes on.

Except that at this point it's unlikely given he'll win it due to the narratives around other players. No one expected two top 5 players to bytch up and shyt the bed for no reason. Other than getting hot from 3 Warriors didnt play well, they looked like shyt out there for most of the series, including game 7.

I remember before you became a full-time Frisco dikkrider you used to go hard for Westbrook. I told you he would never be a great pg or leader because he had rocks in his head and his decision-making was not championship level. You argued against better judgement, as you do. Years later I was proud he and Durant had finally got it, but the collapse we witnessed from the two of them is worse than anything Young Sabo ever displayed at his worst, and it had very little to do with the Warriors. Turns out I was right on that one too.
