I honestly don't know what they should do. Part of me believes they should see this thing through with him (if only for basketball-moral purposes), but I don't think it's the smartest route to take; there's far too many indicators that suggest he's never going to be a staple for this team. Even putting the two ACL tears aside, unless they can restructure his style of play and keep his weight/body in check, he's going to be a footnote in this core's history. Who do you think they should look at targeting in the draft?Giannis has played power forward in the last 3 games with Middleton/Snell on the wings, I honestly think the Bucks should draft one of the SFs and rock with Giannis at that position. They can no longer count on Jabari to be apart of their long term plans, and Thon looks like he will be their C for the future. It's such a matchup nightmare to have him there, there's maybe 2 PFs in the league that can guard him there (Dray/Davis) and even then it's not that great of a matchup because it pulls them out the paint.
@Gil Scott-Heroin what do you think![]()

This can't be right.

They need to draft with the idea that Parker might not be someone they can count on for the future, he's going to be out 12-14 months, there's no way they rush him back so the best they can hope for is a February return which is just too late. I'd love to see them get Monk, but I don't think he'll be there when they're drafting, so going with someone like Miles Bridges wouldn't be a bad look as he's an SF/PF who can handle the ball and make the three. Right now DX has them taking Justin Jackson who is an SF, who is just a shooter.
Fits in with the Bucks, and honestly would be a solid replacement for Jabari, while not being the same level scorer he looks like he could be a better defender.

It's not really small ball when he's at the 4 though, he's almost the same size as Anthony Davis, and Thon is 7'1" so their frontcourt while skinny still has the length to be an issue. They are 3-0 with that lineup playing him with Snell/Middleton, and just recently the Clippers & Blake Griffin had no chance against him -
I think it magnifies his strengths, it pulls the opposing big out of the lane and no matter what they do their PF will have to come out and defend someone even if it's to hide that player on Snell.
