Random NBA Observations 2016 - 2017

We on different ends. I like what he does on offense. His off ball movement, feel for the game on when the attack or pass, he could improve his handles but he is miles better than he was in Summer League. Defensively, that's my issue with him when it off ball defense. His man defense is pretty good and got potential to be great.

I look at a few plays in this half that show that he's not there offensively. On two different fast breaks, leading the break he attempted to go up over the established defender in the paint and ended up having two offensive fouls called on him. He didn't have the awareness to pull it out and set it up on offense or the 1 on 1 move to get around that man. He's a rookie so I'm not mad at him for either of those plays b/c he's learning but I don't see those types of lapses from him defensively. That said he can improve on both ends and he really should be starting over WOATmore. Overall

As much as I wanted them to make a move because Cleveland looks vulnerable they probably made me the right move by not pulling the tigger. If Hayward doesn't make the all NBA team they have a real shot at both him and Fultz/Ball.

Are we even sure PG/Butler puts them over the hump by giving up picks + their core.

They made the right long term choice. It's just also reasonable that a fanbase that was promised an eventual cash out for so long would be upset when a chance for a star was basically ignored.
