starting to think billy donovan should be fired :francis:
I think when a team constantly loses to teams that are much less talented than the, it is a coaching problem. His rotations suck, his offense is predictable and basic, and he constantly gets out coached. If he has a rotation that works, he replaces that rotation with some bizarre rotation that only leads to pain and misery.

he has to stop with these 11 man rotations. it shouldnt be that hard to figure out. stop playing patrick patterson at the 5. huestis needs starter minutes.

i dont have as much problem with the offense. i feel like it flows pretty well and they generate plenty of good looks, but they miss lots of open shots or just make bad decisions on shot selection.

but defense is the main problem. roberson being out isnt an excuse. better coaching could get more out of this roster

I agree but disagree about the offense. The offense pretty much breaks down to 1 on 1 ball w/ Melo, Westbrook, PG almost all the time with Melo, Westbrook, and PG taking a lot of contested shots. With 3 (you could argue 4 w/ Adams) stars in the starting lineup, I think the starters work too hard to get shots. I don't see a lot of easy shots except for maybe in the first quarter until the inevitable offensive collapse in the later quarters when everyone goes cold. They get wide open shots but the wide open shots goes to non shooters like Grant and streaky shooters like Felton instead of Patterson, Abrines, etc. Maybe it's just me but the half court offense is awkward as hell. They are amazing in transition though.
