Per 36, Josh puts up more points, rebounds, assists and steals. He also gets to the line more which offsets the difference in ft%. And again, if you look at their numbers since January, the trend continues.
Nope. Jackson has played more minutes than Tatum post all star break and is shooting significantly worse percentages from the field, three, and the line. Their box score numbers in March are very close, with Tatum again being significantly more efficient. You do realize these numbers/splits can easily be looked up, right?

So basically, Jackson was only better during the stretch where Tatum hit the rookie wall in January-February, and even then Tatum was STILL more efficient than Jackson during his best stretch of the season. Tatum has been definitively better at every other point of the season. Not to mention Tatum has been a huge part of a top team's success while Jackson has been contributing to his team being one of the worst in the league. Yet somehow you come to the conclusion that Jackson has had a better season than Tatum. That's just wild homerism my friend.

You're the one that wanted to focus on numbers because you haven't credibly watched the players you're attempting to debate. Fine. The numbers say that when they play similar minutes, Jackson scores more, rebounds more, assists more and gets more steals. Tatum shoots a better percentage. That's what you have to hang your argument on, but it's also why Jackson has more potential and a higher ceiling.

Uh...what? I've watched every game Tatum has played as a pro and more than enough Jackson games to know that Tatum is obviously better. I also followed both prospects significantly longer than you have.

And again, using only traditional box score numbers to make your arguement is flawed to begin with. But even then, their rebounds and assists are pretty much equal. Tatum doesn't just shoot a better percentage, he is significantly more efficient. And yes, that holds much more weight in evaluating players than averaging marginally more assists and rebounds. There's a reason all the advanced metrics have Tatum solidly ahead of Jackson. There's a reason Tatum has been one of the best players on a top team while Jackson is a net negative on the worst team in the league.

:duck:

You got Tatum over Mitchell too? Is Tatum ROY?
:mjlol: @ changing the subject because you can't defend Jackson's horrible efficiency and terrible advanced stats. Tatum > Jackson, glad we got that settled.

Mitchell has had the better rookie season. I'm not a blind homer that ignores obvious evidence like you. But Tatum younger, bigger and still the better prospect long term IMO. Simmons is the ROY.

If you think Jackson has a higher ceiling than Tatum, fine. But not sure how you can even argue he’s had a better season :mjlol:

Just tryna see how deluded you are since I have multiple people telling me its a waste of time going back and forth with you and I can sense the emotional overinvestment lol. I'd still recommend watching more than "several" games before you try to act like you know what you're talking about, but I doubt it'll make much difference since you've made it clear you're gonna focus on whatever you have to to put the green guy over. :manny:
