this cat. Damn near every post randomly dikkridin wadeI can say with certainty that he was better than Markannen, yes. And especially John Collins. The rookie team is not position specific. It's a stacked rookie class. Kuzma would have won RoY last year. This year he was damn good but can you say with absolute certainty that he is nicer than Tatum or Markannen?
It's tough to get any Raptors in there. DeRozan and Lowry will be considered for All-NBA teams and VanVleet will get some love in the 6MOY race. DeRozan and Lowry didn't have a better year than Harden, Lillard, Steph, Westbrook, Oladipo, CP3.
Whoever made the ballot went position specific though...I can say with certainty that he was better than Markannen, yes. And especially John Collins. The rookie team is not position specific.
Projected NBA standings: New playoff contenders, W-L records for all 30 teamsRevisionist history.
There were serious question marks around the 76ers when the season began, mainly about Embiid's health and Fultz's drastic fall off from Summer League (his awful shooting form and subsequent long-term absence). Raptors may not have been favored to come out the East but the 76ers defnitely weren't either.
Now if you had said the Wizards...
It’s close but Kuzma still edges Lauri in most categories and had some huge games against contenders that led to wins. He’s also the 2nd highest scoring rookie (in a loaded rookie class) behind Don Mitchell.Whoever made the ballot went position specific though...
Markannen averaged 15 points, 7.5 boards on 43/36/84 splits in 29.7 minutes per game
Kuzma averaged 16 points, 6.5 rebounds on 45/36/71 splits in 31.2 minutes per game
That's a close call. Collins has a good case for the team himself. He was an efficient rim runner and a threat to put up a double double every night, he also had impact on the defensive side of the ball.
I can say with certainty that he was better than Markannen, yes.
