I realized it's not even that I believe in this Nets team, it's that I don't believe in anyone else.

The 76ers would be a great candidate to cause problems for the Nets given Embiid and the size length that they have defensively in the front court but Simmons offensive deficiencies and the overall lack of firepower will do them in.

I don't like the Bucks in this matchup against the Nets as they have a defense that's predicated on giving up open 3s and protecting the paint at will against a team with Durant, Harden, Harris, and Kyrie.

If the Sixers really want to go for it 2 words Kyle Lowry....if the Raptors are below .500 going into march itll be doable...he can still control a game at both ends..He's still the Raps best player and is still an all star...Philly would have to come up off Maxey tho...

DeAndre Jordan dropping in PNR coverage is a mess. Bucks were getting anything they want. I really want to take a deep dive on how teams with poor defenses have done historically.
Only a few teams with league average defences or worse have won a ring. Not many at all

It’s simple

You need comparable talent to make them work on defense. The only team that has a trio SOMEWHAT similar is Boston & LORD KNOWS that’s a stretch. Nets will have rebounding issues & defensive lapses

The issue is simply put is...these guys have way toooo much in those 3 guys. Unlike any big 3 we’ve seen they are perimeter guys who can create, facilitate & shoot. There is no individual player in The NBA who can take them out of equation

The lack of a bench ain’t a thing due to buyouts and at least one of these guys will always be on the court at all times. The question is if these guys are impossible guards for starters and gets even worse for bench guys

I also see the same issue teams had playing The Dubs with this team. nikkax are going to want to go shot for shot with them and that shyt ain’t gonna fly

Clippers/Lakers are the only worthwhile matchup for this team but they certainly are far from perfect

Celtics are the only other team in the East that have 3 scorers that can go out and get 30 on any given night, but the talent gap is still wide. Nets are ultimately gonna have the 3 best players on the court in the 4th quarter. I just can’t see them being able to beat them 4 times.

Also, are the Bulls actually good?
The Bulls have moved into the 'young and entertaining' category... Which is a hell of a lot better than laughing stock of the NBA

The team and franchise finally has direction, and now it's crystal clear what this roster needs moving forward. Before this season, it was hard to gauge what to tackle first because everything was clouded by the horrid front office.

To respond directly to your question tho, we're a vet PG and smarter front court defenders away from being "good".

The Bulls honestly have one of the deepest teams in the NBA low-key.

I feel about them (in year 1) the same way i felt about the 2011 Heat. Some very notable flaws, however when you looked at the rest of the field:

'11 Chicago was hella flawed offensively
'11 Orlando was basically '21 Milwaukee
'11 Boston was balanced but geriatric

BK's competition aren't mirror images per se but it gives that same feeling. I could see Embiid in the '11 Rose role in which he's balling but Philly gets stomped out in 5 competitive games.
