This season is essentially a promotional tour of Wall & Woods as a core to lure free agents. Next year it's basically just those two, Gordon, House Jr, and Porter Jr under contract. Unfortunately there's no one realistically in 2021 free agency who would come here that would be a difference maker... and Wall will likely exercise his player option the year after, so he'll collect them checks through 2023...Houston is literally Larry Holmes Garden
Which means 3 years of what you're seeing now.. a kinda .500 to .600'ish ball club that gets praise for kinda overachieving but that "everyone" ultimately wants to lose so that Zion, Luka, Morant, Booker, etc don't lose out on a playoff spot.

I'm not going to lie I want Jokic to rest a few games because I really don't think Malone coaching the offense at allin the bred 4s too
he clearly don't fukk with Malone not drawing up any plays for him so he's launching every time he gets the ball
Denver has gone as far as they can with Malone
Every Nuggets possession is a two man PnR, give and go, or Jokic high post. He got at least another year of being safe from the axe since he dodged two gentlemen sweeps last year. A really underrated part of how bad Malone is as a coach is his rotationsA couple Malone WTFs
-Cancar got his first ever meaningful minutes when Hartenstein been the backup C the whole season, but Hartenstein also only plays once every three games.
-He's starting the ghost of Paul Millsap over Jaymichael Green and even though Green has showed he's a better offensive and defensive player (not for nothing either but MPJ has played his best on defense at the 4 because he is hit or miss at best at the 3)
-He's starting Will Barton at the three even though Will's been a non factor on offense most games and his defense is on par with MPJ
-Only the point guards and Jokic have plays run for them so Bol Bol and MPJ have to get theres wherever they get it. This works for MPJ but Bol defers most times so he can't get any kind of rhythm
Mike Malone is not good at adapting on the fly, his rotations are suspect, and he gotta be one of the worst coaches in the league at using time outs. He's not a bad coach at all, and he's a really great coach for young teams but he's not the guy for this squad
They may get bounced out in the first round this year. It's not just escaping the gentlemen sweeps.. remember the year before they needed 7 games to survive vs a rebuilding 7th seed Spurs team.. and then went another 7 games life n death vs an injured Blazers squad, choking game 7 at home.I'm not going to lie I want Jokic to rest a few games because I really don't think Malone coaching the offense at all
