West is 30 games up on the East in the head-to-head. :gucci:

You're calling 14-11 as the 6/7 seed a "shytty record" in the West when that would be the #3 seed in the East. :mjlol:

There are 7 teams in the East that are at least 4 games under .500. Four of those teams are at least 6 games under, two of those teams are over 10 games under. Meanwhile, in the entire fukking Western Conference there's only ONE team that's more than 3 games under .500.

fukk, there's only 5 teams in the West that have losing records at all, while there's almost that many East teams that are SIX games under .500.

I swear some of y'all don't live in reality.
I wouldn’t read too much into records this season, COVID protocols have strongly impacted games this year especially in the Eastern Conference where teams haven’t been playing at full strength or under regular circumstances , teams that are clearly better than their record suggests;

MIA: Has missed several key guys for long stretches including Jimmy, Bam and Dragic for COVID

TOR: Technically a road team this season, not able to be in Toronto with their normal routines

BOS: Have missed Tatum for COVID and now Smart will be out for a large stretch of games

IND: Not really COVID but Warren being out is a major injury, Levert is out indefinitely

ORL: Fultz, Issac and Gordon all are or will be out for significant time

WSH: Most decimated team by COVID in the NBA, Bryant out for season

BK: KD has missed several key games because of COVID

PHI: Have missed Curry for most of games for COVID, whole team was out for 3-4 games with COVID and took a loss to the Nuggets because of it

Actually watching the games would be a better indication of a team’s level this season

The original claim was strictly about wins and losses. It claimed that West records were inflated by playing easy teams in the West. That's bullshyt - West records are inflated because they're dominating the East.

So far as blaming Covid, you could make the same list of woe for the West - Memphis, Houston, Golden State, Portland have all had serious injury/covid issues, Phoenix/Sac/Dallas/Spurs have had guys miss a lot of games too, Clippers were just playing without half their starting lineup, AD has missed 5 games and counting for the Lakers, and Minnesota is basically walking wounded.

So far there hasn't been any major correlation between which teams have had the most guys out and which teams have played well. Atlanta and Cleveland have had some of the most missed time yet they're outperforming expectations. Milwaukee and New Orleans have had some of the least missed time and yet neither one is playing to expectations.

In terms of actually watching the games, I'll say it one more time - does anyone watch the Suns/Blazers/Spurs/Nuggets play and really think those teams aren't a step above anyone in the East outside the top 4? List the top 11-12 teams in the NBA right now and only 4 of them would be in the East. And only 1 of those 4 East teams is really playing well. So anyone who is saying that the top teams in the West have "had it easy" by playing in the West is straight full of shyt.

Whether you blame talent or Covid or injuries, the Eastern Conference has been a far easier place to play than the Western Conference so far this season.

Those teams you mentioned are clearly better than the respective Eastern teams that they would be compared to, I’m not gonna argue that, however I still think there’s an overreaction to the first part of the season, still a lot of basketball to be played

I’m a Sixers fan and even I know that our record is a little inflated from us getting at least 4 wins where the other team’s key players were missing, the Nets are the best team in the East

MVP getting disrespected like this..:wow:

it's honestly bad coaching at this point

everyone on commentary says that even if Giannis hits 7 threes in a row, the defense will ALWAYS give him that shot.

The fact that Bud and the player development staff in Milwaukee won't spend more time teaching Giannis some post moves is just :snoop:

The ending to bucks suns game is hilarious. Suns were basically giving the game away but Bucks managed to fukk it up witn Giannis... He has no clutch genes and never will.

I'm surprised Giannis didn't charge to the rim like he always does. They were giving him calls no matter what the contact was.

Ive never understood this

It’s not like the defense is playing him that much harder. It comes down to heart and desire to get to the basket and draw contact. Pulled up with that broke ass jumper when all he had to do was take another step and stretch those long ass arms for an easier look on a layup or floater or dunk :francis:
