“Miami has also dangled veterans Avery Bradley, Maurice Harkless and Meyers Leonard to match salaries as part of a trade package for San Antonio’s LaMarcus Aldridge, league sources told HoopsHype,” wrote Michael Scotto. “The Heat would also have to add another minimum contract such as either Chris Silva or KZ Okpala and draft pick compensation to make a trade worthwhile for San Antonio.”

Something is better than nothing :manny:. Always liked the idea of Avery Bradley on the Spurs. I think the 2nd year of his deal is a team option too, so maintains flexibility. Leonard won't play this season (status quo for a Leonard on the Spurs :francis: ), but is on a team option as well. Harkless is an expiring deal. So if this deal gets done, Bradley and a potential pick would be the main reasons I'd be ok with it.

But don’t you all have way more than enough guards on the roster?

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio

We definitely do, but I'd still want players who could conceivably see the floor versus just letting Aldridge walk. Plus, Mills is an expiring contract as well. If he chooses to walk in the offseason, Spurs would have the option of picking up Bradley's option. Same with Leonard assuming Rudy walks.

Honestly, that’s a bad trade for the heat

My Pops Forever RIP
:picard: They fukked up big time

imagine getting Melo in the draft and potentially getting jalen green or kuminga next year alongside curry and Klay.
Would’ve been set for the present and future
How? two of those guys woulda been on the bench and they'd still lose because they have no bigs whatsoever to compete against the good teams.

I'm still happy we took Wiseman. If trading down and getting a Haliburton or someone else was an option I'd have been ok with that too.

But given that we kept the pick, I'm good with how it turned out.

That said, I was wrong about Melo, he's balling..
