I know Bron’s not playing but it’s almost never a good sign when a team starts the season like the Lakers have
They absolutely look like a lottery team or a team that will barely scrape their way into the play-in.
They can't wait til the deadline to make moves, they need to make moves as early as next week
With what players and assets?
The only player outside of Bron and AD that they have worth of value on the trade market is THT.
I agree with you but the Lakers have manifested players out of nothing before and they can do it again, so I have no idea.
They almost got Buddy Hield out of KCP and Kuzma who are both literally garbage so I don't put it past them at all.

The writing was on the wall during preseason:I know Bron’s not playing but it’s almost never a good sign when a team starts the season like the Lakers have
I wanna say they'll make the playoffs, and rightfully, they should, but it's going to be hard for one of the oldest teams in modern history to overcome all the things that'll be thrown their way during the season. The main thing weighing in their favor is there's going to be a lot of middling and lottery teams, where talent should see them get in.
Jazz
Suns
Warriors
Grizzlies
Mavs
Nuggets
Those teams are locks to make it, imo, so I'd imagine the Lakers will squeeze in either in the lower half of those teams or just under them.
The Warriors, Griz, and Mavs are locks to make the playoffs, but not the Lakers?
Terrible take![]()
It's funny how Lakers fans were saying bu-bu-but it's just the preseason when they were losing, yet now they realize those games were actually a lot more reflective of reality than they care to admit. As I said, the Lakers are one of the oldest teams ever, so everything is going to hit a little harder over the course of a 82-game season. They've already had a number of injuries and the regular season isn't even underway. A large majority of their rotation has either been sleep walking on defense for the last few years, or been completely non-existent. All that really comes down to effort, and effort is one of the biggest factors in generating regular season wins. Nearly every single team they come up against, and in nearly every game-spot, they're going to be conceding that to their opponent.
Those teams are locks for mine because they need less to go their way to make the playoffs, and they have younger and more diverse personnel. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll finish above the Lakers, I just trust them more to. The Lakers' chances essentially fall on AD, if he can play the majority of the season and do it at an All-NBA level, that'll put them in great position to make it, but if his body can't hold up, well, they'll struggle to keep pace.
I'm projecting the Lakers to fall between 5th-9th, are you telling me that they're a lock to finish in the top-4 teams?

I hope you find that place, playa. Good luck with your journey.I'll be glad when I can finally admit that I was wrong instead of resorting to ad hominem.

Kuzma and KCP are the same players now as they were in LA. Sure, they're contributing to the team in their own way, but it's more a product of coaching and balance of depth as to why the Wizards have started the season strong. The only notable thing Kuzma and Buddy bring to the table is scoring, and Kuzma's averaging 14 points on 51 eFG% and Buddy's averaging 17 points on 57 eFG%, so I don't know how the hell you came to the conclusion that Buddy is "garbage", and yet Kuzma is this irreplaceable piece who's been integral in the Wizards having the best record in the East.Their performance in Washington thus far and the teams record says otherwise
If anyone is garbage, it's Buddy Hield and don't let the numbers fool you to thinking otherwise.

As a matter of fact, out of the nine main rotational players, Kuzma is third-to-last in net rating. They're not exactly succeeding because of his efforts.

the dude has been unfairly hated on his entire career. shyt is weird to me![]()
Guy works his ass off..isn’t with all the extras. He just hoops but because he couldn’t beat Lebron or spam 3’s..he got shytted on.

It's illustrating a point. The only person saying that Kuzma is irreplaceable is you
I'd rather have Kuzma and KCP over Buddy Hield and I stand by that.
