I think the word "culture" is overused in sports but I definitely believe in a "losing culture" or at least an apathetic one. KG had a personality and the talent to overcome that here. While it wasn't very successful, we know what it looks like. Ant at least carries himself like someone who really wants to win and on the court, he plays like it. If he misses 7 straight shots it kills you but you also know if he makes 3 or 4, he's carrying your squad.

And that's why Jimmy Butler left. Wiggins at the time and KAT don't seem like that kind of player. I trust Chris Finch though because he has been moving KAT around and he's been getting more aggressive taking bigs off the dribble and getting to the hoop but it's clear that if Ant doesn't have it going in the 4th, this team does not get easy buckets.

At this point, they might as well consider blowing it up but they're going to be hard pressed finding someone to take on DLo's remaining contract without attaching assets to it in the process. If/when you do that, then you might as well move KAT as well considering that's his BFF.

He's an empty calories player. Always has been and always will be. At least Wiggins has actual talent. I had to throw that in there. lol.

:troll:

In all seriousness: he's that big ass football nxgga at the rec who takes over every possession and tries to bully his way to buckets, but has no bag, and stumbles and fumbles his way through the game and nobody has the heart to call offensive fouls on him. Leaking out on every possession to cherry pick, and demanding the ball when there's any sort of defensive breakdown so he can get those cheap ass shots in the paint. He'll only pass the ball once he reaches a dead-end, which is almost every other possession. The type of cat who will tell you he scored x-amount of points and grabbed x-amount of rebounds at the end of the game to overcompensate for his lack of game.

It's why he manages to fool everyone with his box score stats, because he's such a high motor, high volume player, he's naturally going to get surface stats with how much he involves himself in the play, and can counterbalance his efficiency so it doesn't look so bad when he can't create for himself against set defenses. He eats off those easy scoring opportunities. He'll go like 4 out of 8 from the field in a half, but three of those made shots were gimmies or ones that the average player could've scored, and he would be 1 out of 5 on the other shots where he had to score against actual defense.

What makes it worse is, he pouts and becomes disinterested once shyt doesn't go his way. He's best utilized as a 6th man, because he can come in and provide energy, get quick buckets, and you don't have to really rely on him to contribute anywhere else (which he doesn't anyway), and he's not going to fukk up the rhythm of the starters by being a hungry hippo for the ball, which is one of the more overlooked negatives of his play, is that everyone has to sacrifice their own game/touches while he's all up in the videos of every possession.

Preciate the breakdown cause I haven’t watched any Knicks games this year.

Feel bad for Silas, all those years waiting for an opportunity and this is what he inherited

I don't. He should have read the room in realizing that he was walking into a rebuild. Morey and D'Antoni both walked and Westbrook got traded, so why in the world did he take the job to only up acting surprised when Harden eventually asked out as well :patrice:

NBA GMs forming association amid Blazers probe

So other GMs around the league think something fishy is going on in Portland and Olshey is trying to be made the scapegoat :ohhh:
I think its more GMs don't want to actually be fired for being shyt at their jobs. Which is just corporatist norm imo

There's already a horrendous culture where GMs can wager the next 3-5 years on a gamble then peace the fukk out if it doesn't work - leaving the next man to clean up the mess and repeat the cycle.

By all accounts Oshley is a clown :manny:

because he got a commitment from ownership and Harden's approval was contingent on his hire

Silas got fukked over but he also should've quit

That has nothing to do with the reasoning of why they they are forming that organization in the first place :mjlol:

He may be a clown, but the team has had success under his tenure as GM :yeshrug:

None of those rumors or accusations reached the league office before the accusations were made public, which is the same exact scenario that happened in Phoenix. I don't blame those GMs for feeling the way that they do about it. If you have an accusation take it to the league office instead of making it public first.
