Nah he's always hated on Russ. When Russ first started averaging triple doubles he made a thread doing everything he could to downplay and diminish it.
I love how the fact that I was one of the first to point out that Russ wasn't playing winning basketball is somehow taken as a strike against me.
In the 5 seasons since that happened, Russ has played for 5 different teams and managed to compile an 8-21 playoff record. He hasn't won more than 2 games in ANY playoff series since KD left and that was 7 years ago. I don't like players who don't play the game right, and Russ's bad shooting choices, bad ball decisions, and bad defense have hurt every team he's played for.
Before Russ came, Clippers were 10-2 in Kawhi's last 12 starts. Now they're 8-8 since Russ got there (7-6 with Kawhi, 1-2 without Kawhi). For the season, Clippers are 22-10 when Kawhi starts without Russ and 7-6 when Kawhi starts with Russ. Meanwhile, the Lakers look 10x better since Russ left, even though Bron and D-Lo have missed most of those games too. But Russ is supposedly the "perfect fit" with Kawhi? Even in a good fit, he doesn't play winning ball.
