Anyone notice how the #1 seeds get screwed by the play-in schedule?

Specifically, they don't know exactly who they're facing in round one, until 2 days before game 1 (Fri eve to Sun eve), lessoning their opponent-specific prep time.

:childplease:

Contrast with the #2 seeds get 4 days (BOS) or 5 (MEM), to prepare for their opponents.

And the #3 and #4 seeds get even more time to prepare, 6 days or more.

I get that the #1 seed should steamroll any opponent without concern, but they do get a slight disadvantage compared to pre-play-in years.

Denver could face Minnesota, New Orleans, or OKC. And it'll still be one of two teams until Friday night.

76ers Nets is looking like the nbatv series right now if Miami doesnโ€™t get in.

Also, when watching NBA on TNT, and you hear Gnarles Barkley with another ridiculous take, that he can barely articulate...

And you ask yourself "how did this mushmouf mofo get $100 million contract to babble for 10 more years?"

Never forget, Chuck "kissed dikk in the mouth."

:dame: :dame: :dame:

No, really...

They still get plenty of rest against what should be a much lesser team. Meh :yeshrug:

it doesn't any more than it screws up teams who don't know what 16th seed they'll face in college.

the idea is that it really doesn't matter who finishes 7th or 8th because they're gonna lose anyway.

Yeah that's pretty much what I said. It's a new disadvantage for the best teams, but probably won't affect the outcome.

Bucks are safe, but watch dem Nuggets. They're one of the most vulnerable #1 seeds in years.
