I wonder if these petty brehs wanna be close to the eligible line of missed games allowed. So they can skip the last games when they realize that they’re not gonna make all-nba, mvp and on.

Wouldn't it make more sense to play as many games early on so they have that option later to miss games and still make the games played mark?
They’ve gotta miss too many and it’d be very late into the season.
