Who the fukk is responsible for today's schedule :what:

They got 7 eastern conference matchups all starting at the SAME exact time

Then 7 western conference matchups, again all starting at the same exact time :why:

Bulls/Mavs might be the only completely meaningless game for both teams.

How are they expecting people to watch all of these other games at once :mindblown:

I swear they used to stagger all the games starts one by one in years prior. Maybe I’m bugging.

H-Town
The schedule is what it is because the league was overthinking the whole “no competitive advantage” thing (not wanting teams to “know” the outcomes hours before their own game)…

…when the reality is there was no scenario where ____ vs Utah in game 82 of 2026 was ever going to be suspenseful basketball, no matter the start time.

Isn't that how they do cause people should go hard to the end?

Like if they played at different times, if one team loses, then a team which plays later might clinch 6th seed without playing and rest all starters.

yea it's better when they give atleast an hour before starting the next batch of games, that way you can atleast watch one full half from each group if you want :yeshrug:

when it's like this i just end up having to pin 3-5 games and jump between the box scores :why: someone's gonna have a crazy game and i end up missing a chunk of it

no idea, i feel like they've been doing this at multiple points in the season for the last couple of years though, not just an end of season thing

the saving grace right now is we KNOW knicks/hornets gonna be the most entertaining game out of the east today :whew:

edit; nvm the knicks sitting everyone :mjlol:

Luka over Brown would be bullshyt
The Boston Celtics have been highly successful without Jaylen Brown during the 2025-26 season, maintaining an 8-2 record in games he missed as of early April 2026. While Brown is widely considered their best player and a top-5 MVP candidate, the team has managed to secure key victories in his absence, relying on strong team performances.

I saw some other post on reddit, twitter or something going even deeper with the net ratings and all that where they basically were making cases that he had a negative impact on the team :mjlol:.

While stats can be outrageous, I don't think analysts and journalists will overlook technical factors like that in a heads-up situation with a guy dropping 34 ppg and a guy dropping 29 ppg.

You can argue the exact same thing against Shai, Cade, Wemby & Jokic :mjlol:
Perhaps with Jokic and Wemby, don't know about Shai (8-5 without him).

They all held up well, but with JB they were actually a lot better but then against a small sample size too.
But all that shyt about net rating etc is what adds to it. If you compare it to Wemby, his net rating indicates that the team is even more dominant when he plays.

But like I said with Luka, 34-8-8 vs 29-6-7.

Just off that alone, then add net rating, then add performance without you and I personally see it as unlikely. Although Boston and their fans have gone really hard with the marketing campaign. As usual with basketball people hate team/coaching performance. They always wanna give one person all the props or all the hate.

You’re conveniently omitting a month or so of the season when Luka was scoring, The Lakers were losing, his defense was atrocious & he was still failing to get back on defense due to arguing with refs. Luka being a viable candidate only caught on after all star break. Nah

Not the peaks & valleys award
Not the player of the month award

I haven't seen him play particularly bad defense and I've watched a majority of their games. Imo the bad defense is a team effort, and it's been particularly bad when Smart has been gone and when Bron has only played defense to get stats like rebounds or once per game chase down someone.
And you know there's about 100 possessions per game, arguing for 2-3 of those won't kill your whole game unless you are ejected.

But I don't see any problem between having JB over Luka, I'm again just seeing what I believe they WILL factor in. You are talking about what you think they SHOULD factor in.
