Ok, I admit when I first saw this I was shocked too hence why I dedicated an entire thread to it, but let's be logical and think this out real quick..
At the end of the day
none of us know exactly what's in any of these artists pockets. The only thing we can do is speculate, but Papoose did sign a very lucrative deal once upon a time. To top that off it's evident that he isn't a dumb dude.. He is responsible for the "Law Library" series where he breaks down different cases in detail, so why is it so hard to believe that he could have invested just as much time in learning about Real Estate, Stocks and Bonds, etc. and created a different stream of revenue oppose to just relying on music?
Are you all suggesting that just because he isn't on top of the Hip Hop game that it's impossible for him to make a small fortune? Are you suggesting that just because one rapper is more commercially successful than the other that their net-worth is greater? How many times have we seen successful rappers crying broke because of the deal they signed and/or someone fukking them out of their earnings?
Let's not act like Hip Hop is the only way to make money. Pap signed at a time when the industry was handing out money like it was candy on Halloween. I once heard 50 say in a interview that Interscope had to drop Yayo and Banks because they couldn't afford to give them the 700k+ that they usually gave them before every album anymore. Let's say out of that deal worth 1.5 Pap only got 700k.. very successful people have started empires with less, so why can't Pap flip that into 8mil?
We make jokes about his outdated clothes, but clearly he isn't blowing his money on pricey attire and he isn't a drug abuser (from what I know), so that isn't a habit he has to support either. It's possible brehs
