I be running around trying to get open from corner to corner on some klay Thompson shyt, expecting to get some high quality pass off penetration....never happens

but once I do get that ball.. (once a dude is trapped or loses his dribble)...best believe that shot is going up

The stepback is the hardest move to defend in basketball yet I've only come across maybe 4 guys in my life that mastered it. If a guy has a great handle there's nothing you can do to counter the stepback. That shyt is frustrating.

They could do that shyt every possession if they wanted to and the defenders can't do shyt about it but call for help. I don't understand why that's the least utilized move in pickup basketball. There's no answer for it besides hacking as soon as a guy gets the ball.

that's my go to move when someone is playing hard defense, add the fact that I'm 6'5" and there's nothing most dudes can do to stop it.

If you're gonna pass and still make the game fun with random dudes, you have to do it as a playmaker. Every pass should be leading them into a scoring attempt or a better play otherwise the ball is just gonna stop in pickup.

Also playing D and getting easy points in transition really gets everyone playing as a team from everything I've seen. Folks love playing team D even if they don't really defend well.
