Mawse that dude. I watched cuz snag bombs one handed over double teams for the fukk of it. :whew:It's no coincidence dude played for the two highest scoring squads of all time. Mawse and Warren Moon my favorite players to play the game. With that said Jerry is the goat. In spite of him rocking those moonwalking braids during his Oakland years

:childplease:

Swann wasn't even the best receiver on his team, let alone the 2nd greatest of all time

:wtb:

If Swann wasn't the best receiver on the Steelers, who was?

I'll also throw in Drew Pearson, and I hate the Cowboys.

I Know us nikkas love us some TO, but lets not forget Cacs hate him. Every top 10 WR list you see, that boy Steve Largent is #3 behind Moss and Rice, while TO is ranked way lower(if ranked at all). :heh: They somehow found a way to keep TO off the 100 greatest players of all time list. :heh:

The gonna fukk TO over something serious when he's eligible for the hall.:damn:

When did moss admit this? And a lot of players take plays off... When you run a deep route or long play, players often go to the sideline for a breather..

Moss was quoted in a Nov. 23 column by Minneapolis Star-Tribune columnist Sid Hartman as saying, “I play when I want to play. Do I play up to my top performance, my ability every time? Maybe not. I just keep doing what I do and that is playing football. When I make my mind up, I am going out there to tear somebody’s head off. When I go out there and play football, man it’s not anybody telling me to play or how I should play. I play when I want to play.”

not you... but people giving every excuse in the book. but their excuses are making their OTHER excuses invalid.

point blank, you can't tell me that the greatest receiver of all time has a mentality like this on the field. there is VIDEO of randy not even moving off the line... plenty times.. going off the field is one thing. running a 4.0 when its a pass play and then running a 0.0 on a run play, that's just lack of effort and standards and ethic.

and if we gonna throw careers in the garbage, and then discount people based on teams, coaches and any other nonsense. then fukk it..........

i'm taking calvin johnson. he's 6'5, built like a linebacker, faster than 90% of the WR in the league now, hands of gold, and all i gotta do is throw a jump ball and its pretty much automatic... and he doesn't take plays off... continuing on this path he'll break a lot more of jerry's records.. then again i thought the same thing about moss... until i found out he's a quitter

Now what was the question that was asked? :usure:

It was something like

"Do you need Cris Carter on the team in order to motivate you play hard?"

Once you read the question... His answer makes more sense in that context... He plays when he wants to play, not when Cris carter motivates him, he doesn't need anyone to motivate him, he just plays football... and the part about him saying "do I play up to my top ability every time? Maybe Not" to me just reads like "I am not going to have a top performance every game, no one is perfect"...

All of his coaches say the most positive things about Moss, his work ethic, his football IQ... Only person who ever called him a quitter was bitter ass cokehead/alcoholic Cris Carter who played with him when he was 21 tears old

Also when it comes to Moss being a "quitter" or not "trying hard"... From the Vikings, to the Raiders, to the Pats, it always comes out during the season or after the season that he had been playing the entire year with some sort of hampering injury that would cause a lot of players to miss time... But he still was productive...

Also, you bring up Calvin never taking plays off... Most offensive guys take plays off after they make a long run, run long route, make a huge play... I've seen megatron take a play off to get a breather after a long play even if he didn't catch the ball, It happens... I would still take a prime Moss and Jerry Rice over Megatron right now... They were touchdown machines in their primes...

Former teammate Tedy Bruschi: There is a difference between frustration and someone quitting on a team. I can speak only from the experience of being a teammate of Randy Moss -- he is the type of player I want to be my teammate, and I'm proud to say I was a teammate of Moss. He works hard, and he only wants to win. Yes, he got frustrated Sunday. You've seen frustration on every player's face before, but I think everyone looks a bit closer at Moss because of his history. As his teammate, I saw nothing but hard work and dedication from him.

are you high or retarded?? randy moss said he quits... by saying i don't give 100 percent every time... what kind of question could you EVER be asked, and your reply is, "i don't play to my ability each time"

there's no context to that. i don't give a damn who's hyping you up.. those millions of dollars ain't hyping you up?? those fans paying money?? the love of the game?? representing your name on your jersey???

nah you need some extra hype... to which you admit nobody else will give you that extra hype except yourself... which you go on to say you don't even give your own self enough hype to play 100% on 100% of the downs

fukk Venem from the coli. how about you find another nfl player in history who's come out and said he doesn't give it his all? sometimes he doesn't play to his ability?? when you have better god given ability than 150% of the league. so basically he just admitted his bum years, was because of him giving up

but again fukk me..... lets go to the pros

Panthers claim Moss quit on Patriots | ProFootballTalk

“We knew he was going to shut it down,” cornerback Chris Gamble told Breer. “That’s what we wanted to do to him. That’s what we did. He’d just give up a lot. Slow down, he’s not going deep, not trying to run a route. You can tell, his body language. . . .

“I know everyone who plays against him, they can sense that. Once you get into him in the beginning of the game, he shuts it down a little bit.”

So there’s the blueprint for handling one of the best wideouts in the league.

“We know from watching film on Moss,” Gamble said, “once you get him out of the game early, he’s gonna shut it down.”

“The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing,” Carter said, brushing aside concerns about where or not Moss can still be a legitimate vertical threat. “It’s not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it’s the elephant in the room. It’s that thing called quit.

“And Randy, not like any other superstar I’ve met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to addresses that. That’s what Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn’t going to have it.

“But Randy, when things don’t go well, like no other player I’ve ever been around or associated with, he has a quit mechanism in him that’s huge. That needs to be addressed before he signs with any team.”

How Randy Moss quitting on a play led to his release by Vikings - Shutdown Corner - NFL*Blog - Yahoo! Sports

If Randy Moss doesn't give up on this play, Brett Favre doesn't get injured. And if Brett Favre doesn't get injured, maybe the Minnesota Vikings go on to beat the New England Patriots and maybe Moss doesn't give his bizarre, postgame self-conference and maybe the Vikes are 3-4 today and thinking playoffs instead of sitting in the NFC North cellar at 2-5. And maybe Randy Moss would still have a job.

But Randy Moss did quit on the play. And on Monday, the Minnesota Vikings quit on him, making plans to cut the four-time All-Pro in a stunning move that was undoubtedly accelerated by his antics the prior evening.

After arriving to much fanfare -- literally a police escort, thanks to Al Davis' theatrical instincts -- Moss appeared to quit on the Raiders and was far from the locker room leader the 49ers are envisioning. He was last seen in Oakland having a screaming tantrum in the locker room because a columnist didn't give him proper respect.

i mean come on... dude obviously was WELL KNOWN around the league as a guy who would stop playing hard if he didn't get the ball enough early. every team he goes to, even when they do great, he starts this me me me talk and they ship him out of there. vikings, raiders, new england, now about to be sf after his comments about not wanting to be there anymore... oh and guess why?? cause he wants the ball more

i mean really.. search randy moss quit... or not play hard... find the 2390472934832 articles.. zero written by venem from the coli. but i guess that was just a conspiracy throughout the whole league to shame randy moss and spread lies
