Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
he was only seen as this because he made everything so easy. Just like people are criticizing him for not catching a ball that went 6 feet over his head.

so you dont think MAUCE worked hard in the summer? where did this come from? Randy MAUCE never had any weight problems. Never entered camp out of shape. It was always crazy to me that people think Jerry Rice is the only player who stretched his neck in the NFL, and why people think MAUCE never did.

this is stupid.

This is what I don't understand. It's stupid to want him to try? It's stupid to expect a multimillion dollar player to give his all every play of every game? Down 30 or up 30 or tied, give me 159 percent every play?

How do you think miracles happen? What if my man on the ravens said fukk it. I caught it, no need to get up and try to juke two defenders. Oops it's 9 yards in the end zone. fukk it ill down it. Think of all the greatest play in any sport. They usually involve people doing the impossible. Not people saying oh fukk it, no way we can do that

But besides that. Lets pretend randy never quits on plays. Lets pretend he didn't admit to not playing up to his ability.

So everyone just lies? All the football players in history, nobody gets the label worse than randy. So players, coaches, background nikkas, commentators, tv analysts, etc. they just all following each other. They speak about it live in game. Or on sports shows. And sports radio. For years. In every city he's been to. Nationwide. They won't have a broken out interview. But people claim they watched every game righ? So people on different networks all come to the same conclusion. But it's all to attack randy. No other star or player. Just him

And also how they all rave about the greatness of Jerry. While they sit next to hall of game receivers on their own team. And still talk about its not even close who the best was. But they all lying too

Cause teddy bruschi said so. One time. And the reason he was out of New England wasn't no behind the scenes nothing. He had a year left in contract, they just went 19-1 and it was the next season. THEY WON A fukkING GAME. and here comes randy after the game. They ain't gonna resign me. They don't love me. Blah blah blah. Kraft shipped his ass out in a week. Midseason. That never happens in the nfl. Star receiver traded mid season

So obviously he must not have been mr team mate of the year. They must not have seen the greatest receiver of all time to say fukk him so quick. Wes walker still there. Still being franchised. He had no damn clue what the plan was. But instead of talking about a TEAM win. He came in to complain about HIS contract.

It's not that he does it everytime all the time. It's that he does it just enough for it to be a pattern. A pattern of less than 100 percent effort. If you can't see that then I'm just done talking. I randy moss!!

you see, the evil media all brainwashed our eyes into believing Randy Moss doesnt give 100% effort all the time. Him jogging while the ball sailed over his head was an illusion.

no, its stupid to blame dude for not going for a ball that was about 6 feet over his head. Ive seen countless receivers do that to similar high balls, yet MAUCE is the only one criticized for it. Its completely unfair. Its that stupid shyt people on Sports radio and ESPN try to convince you that all athletes should do and its stupid, especially coming from people like them who barely try.

How do you think miracles happen? What if my man on the ravens said fukk it. I caught it, no need to get up and try to juke two defenders. Oops it's 9 yards in the end zone. fukk it ill down it. :mindblown:

so you expect him to catch a ball that was about 6 feet over his head.

here is the inconvenient truth for you... EVERY WR DOES NOT TRY HARD ON EVERY PLAY!! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, TO, Ochocinco, Cris Carter, Calvin Johnson, Fitzgerald, all of them. The difference between those guys and MAUCE is that MAUCE was honest, and stupid enough, to admit it. He has been plagued by those comments for years, even though every single WR does it.

And MAUCE never admitted to not playing up to his ability. Thats a crock of shyt.

So everyone just lies? All the football players in history, nobody gets the label worse than randy. So players, coaches, background nikkas, commentators, tv analysts, etc. they just all following each other. They speak about it live in game. Or on sports shows. And sports radio. For years. quote one former teammate of MAUCE, not named jealous punk ass Cris Carter, or coach that has called MAUCE a quitter. Dude has always been well liked in the locker room, and Belichick called him the smartest football player he has ever been around as he knows where each player on offense is supposed to be and supposed to be doing.

If MAUCE wasnt honest, and stupid, enough to say that he does not try hard then this dumbass quit talk would not have happened.

And MAUCE is loved in Minnesota and New England, even to this day. And in San Francisco, the coaches say that MAUCE was a great influence on the young WRs and they want to bring him back next season.

Cause teddy bruschi said so. One time. And the reason he was out of New England wasn't no behind the scenes nothing. He had a year left in contract, they just went 19-1 and it was the next season. and it turned out he was right:leon:

shut the hell up.

Banta-Cain on Moss: 'We all love him' - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

Tom Brady would welcome Randy Moss return to New England Patriots - ESPN Boston

49ers: Coach Jim Harbaugh raves about Randy Moss and Delanie Walker - CBSSports.com

Super Bowl 2013: 49ers' Randy Moss wants one more season - San Jose Mercury News

And Harbaugh said last week he wanted MAUCE back.

like I said, your dumbass just listens to sports talk media and what ESPN analyst say and form your opinions around that.

It's not that he does it everytime all the time. It's that he does it just enough for it to be a pattern. A pattern of less than 100 percent effort. If you can't see that then I'm just done talking. I randy moss!!

So quick to co sign dumb ass shyt.

That ball was no where near catchable. You guys simply want to ride talking points tied to players, even when it doesn't apply.

This is an absurd argument anyway....you and mastermind are the only two people who dont want to admit Moss was dogging it in the Super Bowl. Its ok to admit it.

Randy Moss is one of my favorite players. It doesnt hold me back from calling it as I see it. Sometimes, I know this is hard for you to swallow, the way I see it is the same way the big bad media see's it.

It doesn't apply on this play.

It simply doesn't apply on this play. You see it visually, yet you want to force a square talking point into a round hole.

The shyt makes zero sense. Drawing up this "big bad media" thing like you're talking to a scared child is just corny. Your intellect when it comes to sports is ass and full of lies anyway.

I'm still waiting for when Jerry Rice "pouted" like you claimed he did AFTER getting clamped by Deion. :heh:

Seriously....there's no talking sports with you at times....

Yeah, attack my intellect like I a care...at least come up with something better than that.

Moss stopped on the play. He stopped on the comeback route that should have been an interception. He was walking around like he had a load in his pants throughout the friggin Super Bowl. Probably the last game of his career and he wasnt even trying.

Dog...I have the play on my I Pad.

It was so far over his head and RIFLED that he had zero chance to get at the ball.....period.

That whole "big bad media" mocking thing is just corny.

You're one of the biggest ESPN parrots on this site and always has to be forced into truths....much like your belief that Rice "pouted" with zero evidence. Even now with visual evidence, you don't care. It's about furthering a talking point...it can't be "well....not on that play."

just to clear things up...would you say Moss' effort on Sunday was sufficient?
There wasnt anything he was doing that could cause someone to question his effort?

Trevor Pryce, who's a pretty respected dude was even going hard on Moss.

As far as the INT Ive watched the play a bunch and he clearly goes into a jog as he see's the ball is going to be high. He takes himself out of the play.

I thought he played effectively. I'm looking at the All-22 and he was opening up the field for anyone else.

On that play, you didn't watch the coaches view from start to finish. I did. And I'm saying he had no shot at the ball after navigating himself over the middle.

yea as a Niner fan I cant say Moss dogged it this year or in that game.

I just think in general his effectiveness hasnt been all that besides decoying and we badly needed Mario out there.

the way Moss was blocking this season tho was nice. havent ever seen him block that well.

Like I pointed out in the other thread, if Moss attempts to jump for it at the very least he may have momentarily took away Ed Reed's focus or had Reed move off his spot just in case Moss was able to make a play on it. With Moss completely giving up on the play cause it deemed it uncatchable Reed is able to sit back much easier and just make the play.

Simply jumping could've possibly at least distracted Reed to miss the pick.

Dog...he didn't have TIME to jump. That pass was WHISTLED over his head.

I don't think you guys get it.

he was only seen as this because he made everything so easy. Just like people are criticizing him for not catching a ball that went 6 feet over his head.

so you dont think MAUCE worked hard in the summer? where did this come from? Randy MAUCE never had any weight problems. Never entered camp out of shape. this is stupid.

NOBODY is criticizing Moss for not making that catch. People are criticizing him for not attempting to even make a play on it. Huge difference. Plus if it was only six feet above his head with his leaping ability and long arms he could've possibly tipped it at the least.

So what's your thoughts on that curl route where he made a lazy cutback and Kaep delivered late? Is that 100% on Kaep or should Moss have comeback harder for the ball?

I haven't seen him dog it all year, but if any game seemed like he wasn't into it or enthused to be there, it was the Super Bowl.

Nevertheless dude was a great teammate and taught our WR corps a lot, but if he's not back my heart wont be broken, he just isn't that good anymore.
