That was a stat espn made up while attempting to assasinate his charactor. Most drops was never charted before that season. He also was top tier in TDs that year.
why was Jerry the only receiver to catch as many TD's? If multiple players caught 20+ td's your point would be stronger.

They change up their strategies and drafted bigger taller DB's to compete with him... He would have ate good against strike season DB's... Moss was the biggest threat ever in football. Teams used to dedicate a whole side of the field to stop Moss. Rice never received anywhere close to the type coverages that Moss got. Not only was he a threat at receiver but he was one as a return man.
Just think about this, Moss played with a HOF QB for 3 seasons and Rice played 14 seasons with HOF QBs. And Moss is still up there with him.
