My Pops Forever RIP
I don't see anything wrong with taking Hibbert out. The matchup would've favored MIA with Hibbert on the floor. It was a great play, not much Hibbert would've influenced in 2 seconds

Play your percentages.

A layup will always be a higher % shot than a jump shot, even if it's an open one. Fact is, there was no reason to NOT have Hibbert out there. If LeBron scores on Hibbert anyway, fukk it, tip your cap, but man there was no resistance.

Paul George gambled and lost. He shouldn't have taken that chance.

Hibbert would've been on Chris Bosh, who was outside the paint. Lets say Hibbert's slow ass miraculously would have cheated from outside the paint guarding Bosh to contesting Bron at the rim in less than 2 seconds, Bosh would've been trailing the play for an easy layup at the buzzer

The issue was George shouldn't have let Bron get the ball, but that's easier said than done. Great players make great plays, salute Bron on making a great play, that last play isn't on Vogel

Agree with the bolded, although Hibbert should've been tho. But George did not play that right at all.

there didnt need to be a miraculous rotation he didnt even need to be at the front of the rim. lebron caught the ball 20 feet from the basket. if hibbert is on the edge of the paint shading bosh he has plenty of time to get over there and contest that shot or force the pass.

terrible defense by george and terrible weakside defense along with terrible decision not to have hibbert in the game.

Watch the replay. Sam Young slid over as soon as Bron got past GP, Hibbert's not faster than Sam Young & wouldn't have contested the shot. He's not an athletic big, he wouldn't have contested the shot like y'all think. And even if he had, Bosh would've been wide open on the weak side for a GW dunk.

Sam Young never left the paint while guarding Bosh. Hell, Bosh barely made it 2 steps out the paint. Sam Young was in position to TRY and stop Lebron, but he did nothing. Hibbert would've been in perfect position to contest that shot.

Even Jim O'Brien's dumbass couldn't have screwed that one up :smh:

If Hibbert was in the game he would be around just outside the box. I doubt he would completely guard Bosh. Another thing Bosh got a slow release jumper. No way Bron drive pass to Bosh and shoots on two seconds. It kinda fault Paul George overplay it but it seems he going to play Bron thight. Vogel made it easy for Bron.

i would expect hibbert to be in the paint and not waiting until lebron was already in the paint to make his move to attempt to cut him off like young did. you force him to attempt to make that pass which wouldnt have necessarily been an easy decision with the time remaining and george at least trailing the play to help if there was a pass made.
